Newest Edition To GLOCK (Glock 30s)

Glock gave media the first look at its newest addition to its line of subcompact handguns at SHOT Show 2013's Media Day at the Range. The conceal and carry hybrid pistol, chambered in .45 ACP (10 round capacity), consists of a factory-made Glock 36 slide on top of a 30SF frame. Unlike many subcompacts, the magazine is extended a bit, not to add ammo capacity, but to give shooters with larger hands a place to set their pinkies (and ring fingers for those with extra big mitts).

A common complaint from Glock haters is that the light polymer bodies coupled with much heavier steel slides result in significant muzzle flip when the gun is chambered in larger calibers. On the new 30S, there's more steel than polymer, because of its compact size, resulting in very little muzzle flip and quick second-shot target acquisition.
